Job Description
The Centre for Health and Social Justice (www.chsj.org) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Facilitator for its Work with Men Programme in Kolkata. The Field Facilitator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Work with Men programme of the organization. The person will be responsible for relationship-building, networking, and project-related documentation. The successful candidate will ensure that our programs align with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives.
About the Organisation
CHSJ is a non-profit organisation that works towards meaningful change in the lives of the most marginal communities in our society. CHSJ is registered as a Charitable Trust with its headquarters in New Delhi. It has been working since 2005 and has field interventions and partnerships in more than 10 states of India.
CHJS works on issues of women’s health and empowerment. It includes facilitating reproductive health services, prevention and supporting survivors of domestic violence, women’s livelihood, support for elderly women, and empowerment of adolescent girls and young women. CHSJ also pioneered working with men and boys for gender equality. It is one of the leading resource centres on the issue of masculinity and gender equality in the region.
Responsibilities : –
- Ensure quality and timely implementation of the project activities related to men and masculinity programmes in the field.
- Writing reports – periodical reports for all activities or events related to programmes.
- Relationship building with community and organise meetings with community and other stakeholders.
- Document stories, and timely monitor the project activities, and internal and external discussions related to work areas.
Qualifications Competencies, Skills, and Experience:
- Graduate in any Discipline
- 2+ years of experience in Programme Implementation in field.
- Experience of working on themes related to women’s empowerment, positive masculinities, gender equality, youth empowerment, etc.
- Computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Bengali and Hindi.
- Documentation skills
- Skills in facilitating participatory meetings training and workshops (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and bring out the best in a team.
- Willingness to travel
